Bargain alert!: Eylure Naturalites Double Lashes

Happy Easter!

So today I went Easter food shopping at Tesco (the North Circular branch) and I found an amazing bargain which has nothing to do with food at all...Eylure Naturalites Double Lashes 205! Now I don't know if it was a massive mistake (because the Tesco Direct website has them labelled as £7) but in store I got them for...£3.50!!!

I've wanted to try them for ever and ever, but I really couldn't justify spending over £7 on them. So when I saw them sitting there for basically half price I couldn't resist and grabbed two pairs because who knows if I'll ever see them at that price again! The thing I love about them is that although they are double layered and quite thick, they seem to be really lightweight and quite 'fluttery'.

Oh and I also went to M&S and got a Percy Pig Easter Egg. Can I even call it an egg lol? But anyway, I can't wait to eat this bad boy. Also, why do they only put the recommended calorie intake for 5 - 10 year olds on the box? Can't a 22 year old can't enjoy pink, sprinkle covered chocolate without being judged?

Thanks for reading!

"Hey Mama" OOTD

Hey guys!

Two posts in one day, I'm on a roll!

So this is what I wore today for Mother's Day...it's a look I've never really done before but I think I might try it out more often since I got such a good reaction to it :) How can I describe it? I think it's quite preppy, but then of course I had to trash it out with a bold lip and gold hoops lol.

I'm wearing:

- My sister's Oxford St. Johns College sweatshirt
- White shirt from River Island
- Jeans from River Island
- Cut out wedges from ASOS

I hope you like!!! :)

Cupcake Whore

 Hey guys!

Hope you've had a good Mother's Day and I just wanted to show you a part of the present my siblings and I got for my mum...Lola's Cupcakes!

We got her a box of 12 mini cupcakes so she could have one of each flavour, and then we got one each for ourselves because we're greedy like that. I can honestly say I've never experienced cupcakes like this before...as soon as I opened the box the smell of freshly baked cakes/coconut and vanilla hit my nose...food orgasm! And they taste just as good as they smell.

Big round of applause to my sister Lajoy for picking these up from Brent Cross on her way home from Oxford. Thats dedication to the cupcake cause right there!

Yummy :)

Trust Issues ft Bobbi Brown's Foundation Stick

Hi guys!

So before I get into this post, I would just like to say that I actually LOVE Bobbi Brown's foundation stick. The formula is amazing, it's very light, looks natural and lasts all day. However, what I did have a massive problem with was the lady on the counter who sold me the foundation. She was really friendly but she did suggest and ended up convincing me into buying the wrong shade. Usually when I want to buy a pretty expensive foundation, I take samples home so I can test them in the natural light, but the Bobbi Brown counter didn't have any samples. I asked the lady which shade she thought would be best suited to me and she said Warm Almond (6.5) and proceeded to try it on my face. It looked ok in the shop but their lighting generally has a habit of making everything look good. My mum and I thought it looked a bit dark, but the sales assistant insisted that this was the perfect colour and that Golden (6), which was the shade down would be much too light for me. As she was the expert, I decided to take her advice.

More fool me.

The next couple of days I used it and I looked like a floating head! My face was around two shades darker than my chest and I didn't recognise myself when I looked in the mirror. Cue anger, light tears and over dramatics when it hit me that I would have to go and buy a replacement in another colour, for another £28. Now some may say that I only have myself to be blame (they're probably right), but when I'm not sure about something, I tend to trust the expert. This is not the first time I've been matched wrongly at a make up counter, it's happened at MAC and Estee Lauder. I think next time I'm just going to trust my instincts and then I'll only have myself to blame when it all goes tits up lol.

I've included some pictures below so you can see what I'm talking about. There's such a massive difference between both shades!

Left: Warm Almond
Right: Golden

Thanks for reading and I hope my ranting didn't go on for too long! :)

Soap & Glor(ious)

Hey guys!

You know that saying "black don't crack"? Well I'm starting to think that saying really doesn't apply to me! Lol. The winter weather has been abusing my skin, so I thought it best that I finally spend some money on skincare, rather than on all the things that make my skin worse...namely doughnuts and make-up lol. After reading quite a few blogs recently, and seeing Soap & Glory featured SO MUCH, I thought I should finally give it a try.

I'd seen it in Boots over the years, seen how much it cost and thought it was overpriced because of the pretty bottles they packaged their products in. But once again I was very wrong and the two products I've tried so far is definitely worth the money. I bought...

Soap & Glory 'The Righteous Butter' - £10.50

Ok I know this is meant to be used on the body and not the face, but I couldn't resist using it on both! When I've been applying my foundation it's really highlighted the dry patches on my face so I needed a cream that would not only disguise it, keep my skin hydrated. It's so thick, so really the perfect consistency for dry skin. It's got a sweet but 'fresh' smell if that makes any sense. You can tell that it's not pumped full of artificial smells and I can still smell it on my skin hours later! Also, I applied this at 6:30 this morning and my skin still feels really 'juicy'. Usually at this time of day I'd be lathering myself with my third lot of lotion lol.

Soap & Glory 'Sugar Crush' Body Wash - £6.50

I didn't go into Boots with the intention of buying shower gel, but it was only £6.50 for this massive bottle so I thought 'why the hell not'? (Plus, as I found out this morning, a little goes a long way). I love the citrusy smell of this body wash and it definitely left me feeling more awake after starting my shower still half asleep at 6am. Because of the inclusion of citrus in this body wash, I really didn't expect it to be that moisturising, but I was pleasantly surprised. I would honestly say to get this, if only for the fact that it will wake you up faster than your alarm clock ever did lol.

The Sanctuary Hot Sugar Scrub - £9.99

Since Boots were doing a 3 for 2 deal, I decided to pick this up too. I know exfoliators like this can be made at home but I've tried it before and it's just MESSY (is that just me?) I thought I'd save myself the trouble and just buy it pre-packaged. Although this came with an explicit warning to not use it on the face, being the rebel that I am...that's exactly what I did lol. However, I did used less of it since raw skin is was definitely not the look I was going for. There's not much I can say about this. Am I the only person that finds it hard to get super excited about exfoliators? It does exactly what it says on the tin and smells really nice. I would also recommend using this as a lip exfoliator as this is where I saw the biggest difference.

What are your favourite Soap & Glory Products? Let me know :)
