Dungaree Dilemma.

So I have a massive problem. Ok it's not massive, and on a scale from 1 to natural disaster it's really not a problem. But it's fashion and fashion consumes my life.

I really, really, REALLY want a pair of dungarees. But as soon as I told my mum this, she laughed in my face and told me that they were for those with smaller boobs and that there's no way on earth that they would suit me...bear in mind I'm a 32H.

In the back of mind I completely agreed with her, but the other side of me, the stupid side, still really wants them...I'm sure I could figure out a way to wear them without looking like an oversized baby with massive breasts. Let me know if you have any ideas?

Here are a couple of my ideas:

Smart

Dungarees: River Island
Shirt: Asos
Boots: Asos

Casual

Dungarees: River Island
Crop Top: Topshop
Necklace: Topshop

I still don't know if I'll get away with it, but I'm damn sure going to try!

"Let Me Upgrade You"

Yesterday I made a couple of purchases when I went to Brent Cross and here they are!

Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick - £28

My Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid hasn't even finished yet, but I had to buy this! I've had my eyes on the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick ever since I tried on my cousin's at Christmas. There are so many things I love about it:

- The small, lightweight packaging.
- The lightweight formula which can be used lightly for use in the day and built up for full coverage at night.
- It's REALLY easy to blend.
- It leaves my face with a really natural/fresh look.

Revlon ColourBurst Lipgloss - £7.99

When I go back to work I'm trying to lay of the bright lipsticks and go for a natural look. So I decided to get this Revlon lipgloss in 'Crystal Water'. It's clear enough for a 'no make up look' but it has reflexes in it which makes sure that it is still noticeable. I know I could have gotten one much cheaper than £7.99 but I really like the Revlon formula, it's not too sticky and I really hate over sticky formulas.

E45/Nivea Toner/Nivea Cleanser - 3 for 2 at Boots

These last three products are basics. Boots are currently running a a 3 for 2 offer so I couldn't resist (these promotions really do succeed in making me spend more lol). I'm the worst when it comes to looking after my skin and most nights I even end sleeping in my make up :( So hopefully the fact that I actually spent money on this means I'll stick to a routine every night. Wish me luck!

The Day Beyonce Ruined My Life OOTD

So it started off as a really bad day for me...like millions of others, for three days straight I've been trying and failing to get Beyonce tickets. Today was my final chance and I still had no luck, which means that throughout late April/early May I will be dead to the world because I know all the pictures and videos of Beyonce swishing her flawless weave will make my heart bleed.

So what do I always do to cheer myself up? Well apart from eating cheesecake the answer is always shopping. So I dragged myself out of bed to go to Brent Cross with my mum and this is what I wore...

I know, I know...I'm wearing all black again but right now I think it's just the easiest thing to do. Since I couldn't exactly wear the sweatshirt with a pair of tracksuit bottoms, I gave it a little twist by mixing sporty and sexy together. Sometimes my favourite things to wear are the things that make no sense on paper, but make so much sense when you put them on.

I'm wearing:

- Primark Floral Patterned Tights

Hope you like and there'll be a post coming up tomorrow about the purchases I made :)

Getting My Malcolm On OOTD

Hey guys!

The outfit I wore today is so simple but I love it. Mostly because it's all black and there's almost something powerful about wearing all black,  harking back to the Black Panthers (and the fact that it's slimming also helps).  But knowing me, I couldn't resist adding a 90's touch to it by adding a gold chain and my brothers oversized Adidas jumper.

I also did my hair this week. I was inspired by Akilah's post on making a u-part wig so I did that with the same hair I had before, only I bleached and dyed my hair red and used a needle and thread instead of glue. I was so scared to dye my hair because I've never been another colour, although you could say I chickened out because I didn't do the whole head lol. It doesn't look as bright as it does in the pictures, I think my camera just picks up colour really well.

And oh yeah...the white specks in some of the pictures are snow!

I'm wearing:

- Adidas jumper (my brother's)
- ASOS polo neck dress
- River Island faux gold chain
- New Look black plimsolls

Review: MAC Face & Body Foundation

Hey guys

I've been meaning to do the review of MAC's Face & Body foundation for a while now. It's not that I didn't have any time (I've had plenty of that lol). It's more of the fact that the first few times I tried it, I HATED IT. It would look amazing in the morning...I would be glowing like an expensive Diptyque candle but by the end of the day I looked like the oily surface of a three cheese pizza. It was horrible.

HOWEVER...

I had heard so many amazing things about this foundation that I thought I must be doing something wrong. And to my delight, I figured it out and now I'm in love! The problem was that I was using the wrong brush. I used the Real Technique foundation brush at first, but it really just kept the foundation on the surface and it looked like it was ready to slide off at an opportunity. However, I found that when  I used the Real Technique buffing brush instead, it completely changed the look of my face. Using that brush really works it into skin and gives you a natural glow which lasts all day.

The other thing I really like about this foundation is that it gives really sheer coverage, which is a good for work make up looks. As much as I love my Estee Lauder foundation, Face & Body definitely creates a better 'day' look. It's also great if you don't have many blemishes and want light coverage. I also saved on using any highlighting/bronzing products because the foundation did the job for me.

My only advice would be that if you have super oily skin then this is definitely not the foundation for you, but otherwise I give it a massive thumbs up. Just play around with it a little. Check out the pictures below* and more info about it (price, available shades etc) will be underneath :)

*Pictures were taken in natural light (a fancy way of me saying by a window lol) and without a filter.

- MAC Face & Body foundation costs £20.50 for 50ml...WHICH IS A BARGAIN!
- It comes in 13 shades: C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, N1, N2, N3, N5, N7 and N9. The Cs denote the shades with yellow undertones and the Ns have pink undertones. I'm wearing C6.
- It is described as having a natural satin-shine finish and is 'skin conditioning, water resistant and long-wearing.

The Sweetest Taboo OOTD

Since my outfit post today is so eighties themed, I thought I would name it after one of my favourite eighties songs, 'The Sweetest Taboo' by Sade. I did kind of want to name it 'Sexual Healing' after the Marvin Gay song...but that wouldn't be very appropriate would it? lol

So here's what I wore:

Glasses: Rayban's from Eyewearbrands.com - £92
Necklace: Faux gold chain from River Island - £12
Jumper: Eighties style jumper from River Island (bought in the sale 3 years ago)
Trousers: Cropped black treggings from River Island (bought a year ago)
Trainers: Nike Air Max 1s from Nike Town - £92

You know what? I think I like my simplest outfits the best. I just threw this together this morning and it kind of all just came together as a theme. I hadn't worn this jumper since my second year at uni and only just rescued it from the bottom of my wardrobe last month, but I'm so glad I did. It's so relevant to the 80s/90s revival which has been happening over the past year. Next time I think I'll take it up another notch by making my make up more dramatic (bright pink lips) and adding more chunky gold jewellery.

Hope you enjoyed reading and feel free to leave comments below :)
